Clinical application and guidelines
Wei Xiaolong and Tan Ruibin analyzed the clinical efficacy and side effects of albendazole tablets and praziquantel tablets in the treatment of liver flukes, and concluded that the clinical efficacy of albendazole tablets and praziquantel tablets in the treatment of liver flukes is equivalent, but albendazole Tablets have fewer adverse effects in treatment and higher safety. Clinically, they can be selected reasonably according to actual conditions. (Electronic Journal of Modern Medicine and Health Research, 2018, 2(13):73-74.)
Adverse reactions
1. A few cases have gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, fatigue, sleepiness, dizziness, headache, nausea, and upper abdominal discomfort. However, they are relatively mild and can relieve themselves without treatment.
2. In the treatment of cysticercosis, especially cerebral cysticercosis, it is mainly related to the death of cysticercosis and the release of heterosexual protein, which occurs more than 2-7 days after taking the medicine, such as headache, fever, rash, muscle aches, visual impairment, seizures, etc. Corresponding measures must be taken (application of adrenal cortex hormones, lowering intracranial pressure, anti-epileptic treatment, etc.).
3. For the treatment of cysticercosis and echinococcosis, due to the larger dosage and longer course of treatment, alanine aminotransferase may increase, which will gradually return to normal after stopping the drug.

1. Patients with proteinuria, purulent dermatitis and various acute diseases.
2. Patients with severe liver, kidney, heart insufficiency and active ulcer disease.
3. Before surgical removal of cysticercosis.

1. Enterobiasis is easy to reinfect itself, so the treatment should be repeated once after 2 weeks of treatment.
2. Patients with cerebral cysticercosis must be hospitalized to avoid accidents.
